Ocean Park provides lawns, gardens, walking paths, and views toward Vineyard Sound, while Inkwell Beach is closely associated with the town’s African American heritage. The East Chop Lighthouse stands on the headland north of the harbor and offers views across the surrounding waters. Oak Bluffs Harbor provides access to boating and ferry services, while nearby Sengekontacket Pond and Joseph Sylvia State Beach offer additional coastal scenery and recreation.

Oak Bluffs’ food culture reflects both New England coastal traditions and the influences of its diverse summer community. Seafood such as lobster, clams, oysters, scallops, and fried fish features prominently, while local restaurants also serve Caribbean, Southern, and other cuisines. The town is particularly associated with the annual Grand Illumination Night, when the cottages of Wesleyan Grove are decorated with lanterns and illuminated after sunset. Another distinctive local feature is the Flying Horses Carousel, a historic carousel located near Circuit Avenue.
